An Afternoon with Graphic Novelist Gene Luen Yang

Join us for a lively and engaging talk by award-winning graphic novelist Gene Luen Yang. Yang is the author such acclaimed young adult graphic novels as American Born Chinese (which was adapted into a Disney television series), Dragon Hoops, and Lunar New Year Love Story. Yang will discuss his artistic journey, his experiences as a high school teacher, and how comic books can spur learning in us all. The talk will take place in the Fayetteville Public Library Event Center. Doors open at 2:30, and the talk will begin at 3:00 pm. There will be a book-signing session immediately following.
