Goldsmith research professor of Law at the University of Virginia Law School. He has authored serveral books, including: "The Presidential Pardon: The Short Clause with the Long, Troubled History” (Harvard University Press, 2026); “The Living Presidency: An Originalist Argument Against Its Ever-Expanding Powers” (Harvard Belknap Press, 2020); “Imperial from the Beginning: The Constitution of the Original Executive” (Yale University Press, 2015). Also, he has published more than 80 articles in law journals, written op-eds in prominent American newspapers, given lectures at prominent law schools, testified before Congress and been interviewed by prominent media members.
