Beaver Lake, Arkansas: parks, marinas, camping & trails

Beaver Lake is the Army Corps of Engineers reservoir on the White River east of Rogers: about 28,299 surface acres and roughly 490 miles of shoreline, held back by Beaver Dam, completed in 1966. The Corps runs 11 parks with 677 campsites and 10 designated swim beaches, and commercial marinas rent pontoons around the lake. Fees, seasons and rentals below are as posted by the Corps, Recreation.gov, Arkansas State Parks, AGFC and each marina on Oct 8, 2026.

Orange pins and badges are open this weekend, from each place's posted schedule.

Swimming
Swim at the 10 designated Corps beaches, which have floating safety lines and boat-exclusion buoys. No lifeguards; a life jacket loaner station is available. Beaches close for storm damage, high water or E. coli, and the Corps posts closures at swl.usace.army.mil/Home/Swim-Beach-Closures.

On the water (Arkansas rules)

Life jackets
Everyone on board or being towed must have a Coast Guard-approved life jacket. Kids 12 and under must wear one at all times on board, unless it's a houseboat, pontoon or similar boat with a railing and it isn't under power.
Boater education
Anyone born on or after Jan 1, 1986 must finish a boater education course before driving a motorboat, even on a trolling motor (AGFC boating page). Rental marinas ask for the card.

Is there a fee to use Beaver Lake?
At Corps parks, day use is $5 per carload, paid by card at the park kiosk, or $40 for an annual pass. Campers don't pay the day-use fee.
